IT’S SPLASHURDAY – AGAIN!

Prestwich were left mopping their ground in vain as heavy rain washed out another Saturday home game.

Their local derby with Stand fell foul of the weather – and is the fourth Saturday match at The Heys this season which the first team has seen wiped out.

But the disappearance of the rain clouds on Sunday brought a ray of sunshine for the club’s second team and third teams, who both won their respective cup semi-finals.

The 2nd XI will now meet Flowery Field next month in the Hulme Trophy final, which makes this Saturday’s league encounter at home against the same side all the more interesting.

The 3rd XI will face Clifton in the Hodson Cup final.
