Rowland Barnacott – Obituary & funeral details

by | Thursday August 25th 2016 | Club, Cricket

Rowland was known throughout the area as a sportsman, sports including Cricket which he played at both Unsworth and Prestwich. He was a member of the 1969 Second XI Championship team at Prestwich and displayed quality in both  batting and wicket keeping.

He was also well known around the local Crown Green Bowling Greens and of course the green baize in the local Snooker & Billiards League. Very competitive but always sporting is how I will personally remember Rowland.

In recent years he attended nearly every 1st XI fixture at PCC sitting on the balcony with several friends and enjoying the success of his club.

PCC send their condolences to Pat and the family with whom we share many memories.

The Funeral will take place on Monday 5th September at Radcliffe Crematorium at 3.30pm.

RIP Barny.
