Name: Haris Aziz

Nickname: H, Haz, Hazbean, Brown

Current or past player: Past my prime

What sparked your interest in cricket: I was rubbish at everything else

Do you prefer the T20, 50-over, county or Test format of the game: T20 – it’s in my blood

Cricketing hero: Kervon Christmas – Bowls gas

Favourite current (professional) player: Ben Stokes

Most admired/best player you have played with: Martyn Walters – knows the game

Most formidable opponent: East Lancs – The millers dream has died

Favourite away ground: Glossop – Great deck

Favourite/most memorable match you’ve played in: Yorkshire away – Mike Dennet’s former club – Everyone on the gas from 7am.

Personal highlight/champagne moment: Too many to choose from. I play under the most successful captain the GMCL has ever seen!

Funniest moment/s in cricket: Pete running backwards to catch the ball, falling over and taking it straight in the head

Best way to relax after the game: Order a Pronto’s, get Jimmy to get the round of Baileys in. Usually don’t know what happens after that.

Do/did you have any cricketing superstitions: Don’t you have to be good to have superstitions?

What will you miss most in cricket during this enforced break: Everything, PCC is life. The training in the sun, watching Adam Taylor bat 50 overs for 30 runs, hanging out with the lads, banter flowing. Thanks Corona, Thanks a lot.

Is there anything you’d change about the game: Bring in VAR

If you could invite 3 cricketing celebrities (players, presenters, commentators) round for dinner, who would they be and why:
KP, Rahul Dravid & Brian Lara. Don’t know what I’d cook……
