FOOTBALLERS’ FINAL PUSH FOR GOAL

by | Saturday May 9th 2020 | Football

The Club’s football team is on their last lap of running and cycling to raise money for our brilliant NHS.
At the outset, they set a fundraising target of £1500 and have so far raised nearly three-quarters – with a total of £1,090 at the start of today.
The physical ambition was to complete 300km cycling and 1200km running in 28 days.
But having already smashed this, the running goal has been reset to 1500km.
Latest figures showed 697km had been cycled and 1322km had been run.
More than 13 players have taken part – and are ready to sweat a few more pounds to support our amazing health workers.
The final day of the challenge is tomorrow.
All running and cycling has been undertaken individually and abided by the Government restrictions on social distancing and one exercise per day.
Thanks to everyone who has supported and donated, and anyone who can help push the lads closer to their target, can still make a donation via the justgiving page.
