CLUB TO OPEN 4th JULY

by | Sunday June 28th 2020 | Club

We are sure you are all aware that we have been operating our tennis courts, bowling green and cricket nets in line with the protocols and procedures outlined by the relevant sporting agencies.

In addition to that our junior football training re-commences next week under the advisory guidelines set out by the FA. We are also hopeful that cricket will return soon but as yet there is nothing definitive to report.

On the 4th July we are re-opening our clubhouse and bar facilities in line with the governments relaxation of the Covid-19 restrictions.

We are delighted with this news as it means that our members can enjoy our excellent facilities whilst following social distancing measures that will be in place.

PCTBC is committed to providing a safe environment for both our staff and of course our members. Restrictions will be in place with regard to numbers allowed in the clubhouse at any one time and we suggest initially that will be a maximum of 30-40 (this will be reviewed on a regular basis) but this will become less of an issue if the weather is sufficiently good for members to socialise outside.

Operational procedures are in line with government procedures and will be clearly shown. However, it remains the responsibility of us all to play our part and ensure we are safe and compliant as I am sure you will appreciate.

At the outset I must stress that this is a members only facility. However, we recognise that the majority of our members have not had the opportunity to re-new their annual fees so facilities will be in place for this to happen as we reopen.

The planned opening and closing times for the initial trial period will be:

  • Saturday’s – 2pm until 8pm
  • Sunday’s – “pm until 7pm
  • Monday’s – Thursday’s 630pm until 10pm
  • Friday’s – 6pm until 10pm

This will be under constant review and is subject to alterations in line with government guidelines and the club’s discretion.

NB: when required we will accommodate TV football which might require different timings.

Finally, all members attending must record their names daily on a file that will be available in the entrance hall. In the case of families attending only one name needs recording. Under the contact and trace regulations the club must keep these records for 21 days.
