11 PRESTWICH PLAYERS AWARDED GMCL HONOURS

It was trophy time for Prestwich at the recent GMCL award evenings for senior and junior cricketers.

A total of 11 Prestwich players were accoladed at the senior and U18 presentation evening at Lancashire Cricket Club, and the junior presentation ceremony held separately at Elton Vale CC.

Premier Division honours went to three 1st team players:
Ryan Stanbury – MVP (most valuable player)
Lee Dale – batting
Sam Holden – fielding

2nd team player Nick Carter won the fielding award for Division 2A.

Third team captain Mike Mangnall won the batting and fielding medals in Sunday Division 1A
and vice captain Karl West won the MVP award.

Josh Raleigh won the bowling award and Matthew Cuthbert won the fielding medal in the U18 West Division 1.

U12 player Luke Prescott won the U13 batting award for all the GMCL divisions.

In the U11 category, Thomas Orrell won both MVP and fielding awards, and Leo Michaelovitz won the bowling award.
