DARTS & DOMS WEEK 5 AWAY TO BRIDGE TAVERN (0N RADCLIFFE PLAZA)!

Sunday November 7th 2010 | Social

My apologies for the lateness of the report, indeed on the eve on the next match, this is down to divorce proceedings due to my good lady wife being late home last week, or was it me staying in the pub until 1am! – only joking

Darts

John “fat fingers” Davies making his comeback from his premature exit from the team was at his best winning 2 – 0 with 4 tons and 60 (20,20,d10) checkout in the second leg.

Bradders playing a scary lady had to fight back from losing the first leg to claim the next 2 to win 2 -1 with 3 tons and a 70 checkout (6,14,50) in the last leg finishing on the bull

Stu showboat cameron played theie unbeaten player and was made to fight all the way and limped to a 2 -1 win with 3 tons along the way

Nick Carter again played his steady game winning 2 -1 with a ton & 140 score plus a 56 checkout (16,d20)

Capt nemo up next and having over analyzed the opponent game was well below par — and went down 1 -2 and only picking up a single ton

Chris “hastings” Williams played against a lady of very senior years who could still recall Queen Vic on the throne! had to fight very very hard, pulling what little hair he had out, lost the first leg
and all I can say about the next leg is that I was glad the clocks went back the day before so we had an extra hour to watch approx 1066 darts at double one by Chris (hence the name hastings). which much to our delight forced a third leg. this was much faster only 100 this time and again went to double 1 C hris even scored a couple of tons in this leg. to win 2 -1

Jon O C – effected by the delay had forgotten what he was doing and lost 0 -2 with no big scores to brag about

Result 5 – 2 (plus 2 bonus points for match)

Doms

Big Ted and and even bigger BoB opened up proceedings with a comfortable 91 -71 win

due to unavailabilities of some regular players, forced the debuts of a couple from the darts and Chris Williams was one of them , paired with capt nemo, it quickly became apparent that we were out classed and out of our depth – still we had a good chat and lost 62 – 91

another debutante John Davies paired with Stu Cameron faired no better lost 75 – 91

the Hammer and bradders restored to their wining partnership from last year also failed and lost 80 – 91

final pairing Stu CAMeron and the hammer showed a little fight and was unlucky to lose 89 – 91

Result 1 – 4

This week -Mon 8th Nov we are at home against the Bridge Inn (from dumers Lane) who were mid table last year in the first division and have a couple of decent players. So feel free to come and support
