DARTS & DOMS – DART PAIRS COMP SUCCESS

This week saw the playing of the darts pars knock out comp with 16 pairs taking part and played to a finish at the New Bay.
Prestwich had 2 pairs in Showboat Stu & Fat Fingers Davies making one pair & and capt Nemo with Steve (need a nick name) walmserly.
luckly we were placed in separate halves of the draw and with each pairing making steady progress and playing well, expectations Began to rise,
both pairs made it to the semi final, nemo & steve both threw well and scored consistently but could not finish and lost 0 -2

Showboat & Fatfingers had to come from a leg down to win their semi final 2 -1 and so progressing the final

the final was to be best of 5 and showboat had the honours to open, both threw well and won the first leg in 20 darts.
with the nerves now settled a bit they took the next to break the throw and so open up a 2 – 0 lead again in only 20 darts.

staff of life dug deep and went down fighting taking the next leg to make the score 2 – 1 again in 21 darts

the next leg was perhaps the worst by virtue it took 24 darts but showboat held on to make the winning double and so the cup
to win 3 -1
