DARTS & DOMS WEEK 15 AWAY TO TOP OF THE TABLE – STAFF OF LIFE

Wednesday March 30th 2011 | Social

Hello, – long time no write! – mainly due to the fact we had a free week and got stuffed at home by the Wilton the week prior return of “le Sulk”.

Anyway this week we were away to the title contenders in the Staff of Life, who arguably man (or woman) for Man are the best team in the league. A tough night was to follow, we went we saw and were absolutely battered.

Showboat Stu Cameron up first against Steady Eddie Miller, stu chipped in a 180 to help pinch the first leg, but sadly went very south after that and could not reply to steadys consistent throwing.
Stu lost 1 – 2

Big bird bradders up next against Keith the fencer Jones again good throwing by the opposition, never allowing Andy to settle into any rhythm went down like a lead balloon, andy Lost 0 – 2

Baby Face assassin Nick Carter up next and desperate for a win having now lost 3 in a row , tried too hard and went with a whimper to to D Hadcroft Nick lost 0 – 2

Des o’ connor sacrificed himself and took on the league’s un beaten player in Andy winner of the footie card Lee. Andy put on an exhibition with 4 consecutive tons in one leg was far too strong for little des. Des lost 0 – 2

Capt Nemo up next to try and salvage something, but like everyone else failed to show any consistency and played like a blind cobbler went down and lost 0 – 2

Steve no name walmsley showed us how to play, but it certainly was not a commanding performance for the were many scores of 11, 7 18, 26 etc won 2 -1 against Wayne Thomas

last but know means was chris hastings williams, and was probably the most entertaining of the night, not for the throwing prowess of either player but for the banter from the sidelines, Indeed Chris scored 3 tons in the match but also scored a “4” and couple of”11″ against Rob Aldercrof. Chris true to his name of hastings again wasted many arrows at the double and ended up in the mad house twice. chris lost 1 – 2

Result 1 – 6 lost

Doms
we faired better here and got off to an awesome start with big trd and slim line tonic Bob putting in a master class to win 91 – 57

nemo & steve up next against the delightful landlady & partner, also set off like an house on fire, racing to a 20 point before capt calamity struck again playing the wrong domino, allowing them back in and pinch the game.. score 90 – 91 lost

Trapper & the hammer restored order to take the next game 91 -82

Showboat & bradders wrapped up the points in the next to win 91 – 86

steve & hammer looking to finish the evening on a high sadly went home disappointed and lost 80 -91

result 3 -2 won

Next week we are at home to The New Bay and hopefully we can restore a little pride and fight for third spot

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxBREAKING NEWS xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx RESULT JUST IN – SWAN AND RAILWAY LOST 0 -5 AT DOMS & 2 -5 AT DARTS TO THE BRIDGE TAVEREN, UNFORTUNATELY FOR US PUTS THE BRIDGE IN THIRD SPOT
