DARTS & DOMS FINAL WEEK HOME VERUS THE SWAN & RAILWAY

This week saw the final game and opponents were still in with a chance of winning the league, but since we had already beaten them away they were expecting a tough time. Yes they got it!

Darts – the figures in brackets is the players final stats
Big bird bradders opened up with some excellent consistent throwing, scored 2 ton + scores and hit the double in the first attempt won 2 – 0

John “fat fingers” davies up next and did not want to be out done scored 3 tons on his way to win 2 -0
(p14 w13, 32 x100, 4 x 140, 4 x 51+ checkout 100 highest)

Chris “hasting” williams never really settled though he did score a ton lost 0 -2

Stu Showboat Cameron up next and was awesome against the swan best player, score 3 x 100 + scores won 2 – 0

Baby Face assassin nick carter up next and played with fierce velocity scored 2 x 123 (both could have been 180) WON 2 – 0
(p16 w11, 20 x 100, 5x 140, 2 x51+checkout highest 66)

Steve no name Walmslery up next struggled in his despite score 2 tons won 2 -1
(p12 w11, 17 x100, 5 x 140, 1 x 180, 5 x 51+checkout highest 90)

last and least capt nemo – yours truly Jon Armstrong played well scored a ton but lost 0 -2 however both legs were in 20 darts so cant complain

final score won 5 – 2 – this is the double done and hands the title to the Staff of life who, in my opinion were deserving winners.

Whilst this was the final league game we are still in the hunt for honours as follows:
Honours
currently tied 3rd place in the league @ darts, but the other team as game to play against the champions this mon.

stu Cameron & John Davies have won the league darts pairs

Capt nemo – jon armstrong has equal least darts of 17 for the league (though one week to play so may change)

Stu Cameron has the highest checkout in the league @ 126 (though one week to play so may change)

Steve walmsley has qualified for the darts singles finals

we have 4 people who have qualified for the 180 trophy in Stu Cameron, Andy Bradley, Steve Walmsley * capt nemo Jon Armstrong

Thanks to all who participated once I have purchased the trophies I will be in touch to arrange a night to spend the surplus kitty

Next season we are thinking of joining the prestwich league, still on mon evenings but a slightly different format this may mean we loose a couple of players so more are needed:
1 leg of 701 darts with equal darts 7 players
doms – 4 pairs
crib – 4 pair
so if there are any members who can play crib and want to play and teach the rest of us please watch the website for details.
