DARTS DOMS AND CRIB WEEK 4 AWAY TO THE PARKSIDE

Saturday October 22nd 2011 | Social

This week we were away to the parkside and some key players missing with either work or Hols but how did we do?

Darts
With no willing volunteer capt nemo stepped into the big berth left by showboat and opened the proceedings, and I think it is fair to say that he was at best awful! Indeed he opened with 3 consecutive scores of 11 which in 701 means he had a lot to do. The other player was not much better but got to the double first and took it out with his first arrow.

Centurionup next and was the only player to record a ton score on the evening, in fact scoring two. He did enough to win he also managed to break the lights!

Fat fingers Davies also was way out of form and threw sluggishly but did enough to hold on and win

Baby face assassin, nick up next and played his usual steady game despite recording a score of 4, but another who struggled on his double, had enough of lead to pinch victory
After four games we were leading 3 – 1 and fingers started to vetted crossed that we could hold out.

After watching the opposition warm up nemo took advice from the centurion and delayed throwing on Ernie, to save him for a weaker player, so Chris stepped up and played well but was always chasing again struggled on his double and lost.

Ernie the slowest taxi driver in the west up next, needing to win to ensure the points did so in style, with a slow stuttering start, slotted in two consecutive tons to reach the double first and toolkit with ease. With this win the match stood at 4 – 2 so match won and playing for bonus points.

Last and least was dessie o’ Connor who was only there for the beer! Had a steady game but went with a whimper and lost

Match score 6 – 3 won

Gallon
Baby face up first and destroyed his opponent with ease
Nemo desperate to make amends and atone for his very poor earlier showing tried a little too hard and lost again making it 1 – 1.
With the final leg about to be passed to dessie, but the centurion came marching through fresh from his comprehensive domino victory, full of confidence and gusto pushed dessie aside, and stormed to a easy victory to win the game and gallon 2 – 1

Doms
The hammer and trapper open up with a 91 – 78 victory
The return of the Bradleys in classy carol and Phil cool carried the baton further with an impressive 91 – 67 win.
The hammer and Phil cool then stumbled and dropped the baton going down to 57 – 91
Cometh the hour cometh the man centurion and big Ted in the last match and were simply awesome won by a massive 50 points that’s half a centurion won 91 – 41 and surely will early contenders for the biggest win of the season. Final score 7 – 2.
Those of you who follow this report will notice that the dominoesplayer of the year in even bigger bob was absent tonight and we won, won with ease! No further comment your honour.

Crib
The woo Bradleys opened with a classy defeat and perhaps we shall call them pooh Bradley lost 77 – 91
The hammer and trapper restored faith with a 91 – 76 win
With big Ted missing his regular play mate (oh er) played with carol (a bigger oh er) enjoyed a close win 91 – 83
Big Ted stayed at the table and was joined by the trapper and crawled to an even closer win of 91 – 90
Final score 7 – 2 won

We are at home this Mon 24 Oct to the beehive from Whitefield
