DARTS, DOMS AND CRIB 2012/13

Wednesday September 12th 2012 | Social

Howdy folks Capt Nemo here, hope everyone is in good fettle as we say on the right side of the t’lls.

Yes its that time of year again for our winter gathering of the throwing (chucking in some cases) of darts, the cunning and craft of doms and whatever it is you do at Crib !!!

There are some changes to the format this year which I hope you will be happy with, more on that in a moment. Also there are changes at the top table – I was asked (I know crazy giving a Yorkie a bit of control… He will be changing the rules next……………..) by the League If I would consider running it – I know I cant I even do our club right before anyone has anything witty to say – I agreed!!! So now I am Jonny Result/Fixture Co Chairman chappy. I have even set a new website for the league !!!!!

Anyway the League fixtures start on Mon 24 Sept and we are away to the Libs, so as in recent years I will be down the week before on Mon 17th and have our pre season get together where I will buy a single drink to all players who turn up from the small kitty left over.

I will run a mini darts comp £1 entry and depending on numbers and the money will be shared between winner and Unluckyyyyy the doms and crib will be available so if any other members wish to come down you would be more than welcome.

Rule Changes
Due to a couple of teams struggling last year, indeed one team has dropped out leaving 8, it was proposed (by yours truly) that we make the darts 5 players rather than 7.
• All games are best of 3 playing 501
• Home team to throw first in the 1st & 3rd leg (if needed)
• No Equal Darts – in other words proper darts!  everyone agreed motion carried

Everything else no change ie gallon 3 games of 1 leg 501, doms/crib four pairs

New website please forgive the basic format it is my first attempt:
