Presentation Evening 17th October

We are fast approaching Tennis presentaion night which is the only purely tennis social event that we hold during the year.

As well as giving out prizes it’s also an opportunity for you to socialise with your fellow members and guests, take part in the family and adult quiz and enjoy some good food. Details of the food choices are set out below and if you want to eat on the night could you contact Gill Boyle by Sunday 11th October at the latest if we don’t already have your order. The caterer we are using also provides the club Sunday lunches so if you’ve attended one of these, you’ll no doubt be pleased with the choice.

Immediately below are the approximate timings of the evening’s itinery:

Welcome & handout of family quiz and first half of adult quiz – 7.30pm
Junior Presentation – 7.45pm
Family Quiz answers – 8.15pm
Break for food 8.30 – 9pm
Adult Presentation – 9 – 9.30pm
Adult Quiz – second half and answers- 9.30 – 9.45pm
Raffle – 9.45 – 10pm

As with last year, the large flat screen TV will display a continually changing montage of Tennis photos, taken both this year and in previous years and there will be background music to enjoy.

There are some great raffle prizes to be had, with the top prize a quality brand tennis racquet and other prizes including an individual tennis lesson from Paul Jepson, wine and large tennis balls.

For winners and runners up and members of the two teams winning external trophies (ladies 2nd team and Autumn league B team) there will be a set of 4 slazenger balls for all those attending on the night.

Food Choices – all hot dishes are £5 each

• Meat & potatoe pie, peas and red cabbage
• Beef or vegatable lasagne, salad and garlic bread
• Chicken or vegatable curry, rice and naan
• Chlli con carne, rice and bread
• Ham leek and cheese and potatoe pie
• Cold desserts will also be available on the night at a cost of £2
