THE LBW DECISION I WILL NEVER FORGET

Sunday March 29th 2020 | Cricket

Name: Dylan Kane

Nickname: Dyldo, Dildu, Dyl to be family friendly

Current or past player: Current player

What sparked your interest in cricket: Garden cricket with Nathan Bailey

Do you prefer the T20, 50-over, county or Test format of the game: Umpires call between ODI and Test Match

Cricketing hero: Kevin Pietersen

Favourite current (professional) player: Stokes

Most admired/best player you have played with: Tough one. Playing under Pete Lorenzini is always a pleasure but learning from the likes of Ste Lorenzini was unreal.

Most formidable opponent: Defo not Roe Green

Favourite away ground: Nowhere beats the Heys, but if I had to pick, I would say Thornham- really picturesque and the teas are class.

Favourite/most memorable match you have ever played in: Astley and Tyldesley in the 2nd team cup quarter finals- down and out, they trailed by one. AT traps their bat plumb in front- unreal scenes.

Personal highlight/champagne moment: Winning my first senior trophy

Best way to relax after a game: Singing in the sheds with the boys, Dr Roy brings a jug or two in. Go on from there.

Do/did you have any cricketing superstitions: Nothing seems to work for me.

What will you miss most in cricket during this enforced break: Just the general day of playing cricket. Being with your pals, playing hard and having a laugh, then all going for a beer at the end of it. Nothing beats it.

Is there anything you’d change about the game: I’d make every deck a road

If you could invite 3 cricketing celebrities (players, presenters, commentators) round for dinner, who would they be and why: Stokes, Smith and Kohli
