Members will have noticed the work being carried out on the side of the tennis courts which adjoins the cricket ground.
The work is about 50% complete and will now involve the erection of 8 x 10 meter high steel posts which will accommodate protection netting for the courts.
The netting will be controlled by pulleys which will allow us the reduce the height during windy conditions. This system replaces the old manual system that was not fit for purpose and was damaged regularly during windy weather.
The netting will be raised only during the Summer months.
