DARTS AND DOMS MISSING REPORT FROM WEEK 9

Wednesday February 2nd 2011 | Social

Apologies for the lateness in the report, I thought no one would notice!
Anyway this week we were away to the unbeaten league leaders in Swan & Railway and I was looking forward to crossing swords sorry darts with some ex team mates, but what happened were we to be like all the rest and roll over with a whimper, or perhaps we would deliver a knock out punch and blow the league wide open?

Capt nemo (Jon Army) delivered the first surprise of the night by moving himself to the opening slot, thus saving the power players, the big guns for later.
The first leg Nemo was awful and could not hit a single 20 for love or money. Found himself to be left on 204 with his opponent on double 16, but nemo was not finished and his opponent was struggling with the double. nemo kept at it got down to 55 and took out single 15 followed by double top with his first dart to take the leg. The second and third legs were not much better and nemo lost 1 – 2

showboat stu up next and was a little off form but it do not stop him chipping in with 4 tons and 80 checkout won 2 -1

Bradders up against his 3rd female opponent in 9 games proved to be no gentleman and won 2 -1 with 2 tons, which also included some very un-discreet coughing by the opposition at a time when andy was throwing at the double to win the game.

John fat fingers davies up next against the best player of the swan and both players produced an exhibition, with both swapping tons for fun with john having 2 and a 140, if this was not enough he then having lost the first leg chips out with a treble 20 double 20 100 finish to take the next and level the match. the third leg was no different and could have gone either way, but sadly not for john lost 1 -2

with the score 2 -2 and the big guns played time for the secret weapons

baby face assassin (nick carter up next played his steady game with a ton & 140 score won 2 -1

steve (no name or spell his name ) walmsley also had a couple of tons and won 2 -1 and with it the match

dessie o’connor to round up proceedings, actually played very well and gave a good account of his self but could not finish, where his opponent was clinical lost 0 -2

final score 4 -3 +2 bonus – the scoreline actually does the match a dis service for we were by far the better team.

doms

hammer and bradders were unlucky in the oping match to loose 89 -91

trapper ( trevour) williams & steve no name or cant spell hes name) faired no better and lost 79 -91

new pairing slim line bob & wonderful wendy showed this could be a pairing match made to last – won 91 – 72

showboat stu & chris williams were desperate to end Stus unvictory run went down 85 -91

last but no means was nemo and bradders another pairing which proved to be successful and won 91 -80
